about

First inspired by reaseach on the mentally ill in Afghanistan (where 66% of the population is deemed to have mental disease), NYBD represents the heavy and punchy, but also the experimental side to The Liar's Chair.

This pilgrimage begins with bombs dropping then quickly turns into a call to arms, inciting the listener to stick their finger at what can seem to be the uncontrollable inevitable.

lyrics

Hamid Arshee was a headcase in Afghanistan
And he was eager to move wherever he can
For a new young broken dream.

Well he thought that fireworks bursting into kids balloons
Meant that it would all come to pass so soon-
All his new young broken dreams

Why can't we just tear ourselves away?
Theres a jam in god's machine, singing
Uh-oh, it's a goon sack and its stuck in tray three
Mass producing weapons for you and Hamid Arshee

Oh, well it sounded like such a bright fucking idea
As the night sticks fall all around our ears
And our new young broken dreams

Come on! You can come and help spread the seed my friend
You can t-t-t-t-take and rape what you need, again
In the name of a new young broken dream!

Why can't we just all get along?
Pack our shit for outer space, singing
Uh-oh, how it's not far enough, no, far enough away…
Build the walls higher baby, fuck it! Cos here we'll stay!

So leave the lights on, leave the lights on, leave the lights on
We're staying home
Turn the gas on, leave the gas on, leave the gas on
And light the flame!

But you say they got guns and aeroplanes and now
All we got is sacks of cheap champagne (and we fail)
How we don't, stand a chance...

But we'll do it again!

Turn the gas on, leave the gas on, leave the gas on
And light the flame

But you say they got guns and aeroplanes and now
All we got is sacks of cheap champagne (and we fail)
How we don't, stand a chance...

But we'll do it again!
